Keto Hot Chocolate
Thick, rich stovetop hot chocolate made with cocoa, sugar-free dark chocolate, and cream. Silky and warming at 4 grams of net carbs per mug.
Thick, rich cocoa for cold nights
Packet hot chocolate is mostly sugar and powdered milk. This stovetop version skips both and still comes out thick and glossy, thanks to cocoa powder, a little sugar-free dark chocolate, and cream stirred into warm almond milk.
Melt the chopped chocolate slowly so it stays smooth, and whisk the cocoa in while the milk is still warming to avoid lumps. A pinch of salt sharpens the chocolate flavor, and a powdered sweetener keeps the texture silky instead of grainy.
It makes two mugs and reheats well, so you can keep the second serving warm on the stove for later.

Recipe FAQ
How is this different from regular hot chocolate?
A standard packet of hot chocolate carries 20 to 25 grams of sugar. This version uses unsweetened cocoa, sugar-free dark chocolate, and a powdered erythritol blend, which brings it down to about 4 grams of net carbs per mug while keeping the thick, rich texture.
Can I make it dairy-free?
Yes. Replace the heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk and use a dairy-free sugar-free chocolate. The result is a little more coconut-forward in flavor but just as thick and warming.
